LET IT SNOW

  As soon as my students started the Let It Snow project, they prepared their classroom boards and made their winter drawings in November.

 When creating our common winter poem, my students came up with several lines beginning with our given letters. Then we all voted which lines to be added to the poem. In the picture you can see all the lines written by my students on the whiteboard.

As I'm not exactly talented, I asked one of my colleagues, an art teacher, to help me with an idea to make winter drawings with the students. So she suggested to cover all the paper in blue ink, then do the drawing with an ink corrector pen. Some of my students applied this method and this is what they ended up with.

 Although winter is not what it used to be and we can rarely see snow lately, we tried to imagine and draw a few winter pictures. Here are some of the drawings my students made...

The slogans were also designed on canva. For the slogans, my students had to think of some representative sentences to add to canva and decorate their work with winter activities they like. These are our slogans: 

Next, they had to design some logos. We proceeded the same way as with the posters. My students made more logos, then they decided which ones to upload to the project. They chose these ones:

My students learned how to use canva and designed some pretty posters for the project. Actually, they made much more than needed, but we only uploaded the two most beautiful ones they chose.

We've started making the bulletin board for our project. At the time when I made this collage it wasn't ready yet, it was a work in progress. Through it the whole school had a glimpse of what we were working on.
